A 1.4kw solar panel feeds the low-energy lighting, composting toilets with low water flush, a glass-fronted south-facing aspect for maximum light and warmth...it's even insulated with recycled telephone directories!
Designed with the environment in mind and set in natural woodland, about 600 yards from the sea at Studland, the centre brings together traditional building techniques with modern technology.
